My thoughts Christmas Eve 2019

MOVINGgifRedChristmasTreewithBows        Happy Hannukah in red and gold

Though this eve is not the eve of my, and millions of others, Lord and Saviors birth (as he {Yesuah} was born sometime between March and the first week of May) it nonetheless is, in ever (sadly) decreasing ways about the Lord – his life – his birth – his words – his miracles – his love for each of us – his forgiveness of our sins past/present and future for it is written that “he died for our sins” thus our sins were not limited to when we were young, when we were stupid, when we turned our back, when we didn’t do enough, when we gave way to desires of the flesh, when we knew to do more yet we didn’t and worst of all we tried to justify it, when we failed to forgive, when we turned our back on friends/family/elderly/etc., my God I’ve done the same and I am ashamed – his fulfillment of each and every prophets words dating back thousands of years, I find comfort that many still hold, however silent and minimized it may be, the knowledge that this eve and the day to follow is supposed to be a celebration of our Lord and saviors birth.

Contrary to the guilt, and the wrongful preaching for the bible verses and Jesus’s own birth name as ordained by God and given to Mary by the angel Gabriel (whose actual name is/was Yesuah and how/why we don’t use his real name is beyond belief and I pray that we right this wrong beginning now), God wants us to be wealthy (and as just one example if he didn’t please tell me how King Solomon, the son of King David of “David and Goliath” became the richest man to ever live). but to use that wealth to provide for; our family/loved ones/friends/the poor/those persecuted for their Christian and Jewish faith/those incarcerated/those battling diseases and illnesses/those without water and/or food, those with disability’s which I personally dislike the word but you get my meaning/those without shelter/those without clothing/without safety/living in fear/ those without safe & clean homes/the elderly, those with addictions/each for our fellow man / etc. To be healthy. To be a true light in this world. To seek the word of God/our Lord and savior. To stop being made to be marginalized, guilty, trivialized, etc. for being Christian/Jewish. To let our faith be known to the world not only in words but in acts, deeds, the way we lead our lives, the way we raise our children no matter how old they become, the way we interact with our grandchildren, etc.

One of my favorite, and I have many, versus of the Bible (though I was raise upon the King James Version KJV of the Bible these past few decades I prefer, and am drawn to, Young’s Literal Translation (YLT) is found in Luke 2 being: The Shepherds and Angels – 8And there were shepherds in the same region, lodging in the field, and keeping the night-watches over their flock, 9and lo, a messenger of the Lord stood over them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they feared a great fear. 10And the messenger said to them, ‘Fear not, for lo, I bring you good news of great joy, that shall be to all the people — 11because there was born to you to-day a Saviour — who is Christ the Lord — in the city of David, 12and this [is] to you the sign: Ye shall find a babe wrapped up, lying in the manger.’ 13And suddenly there came with the messenger a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God, and saying,

14‘Glory in the highest to God, and upon earth peace, among men — good will.’

15And it came to pass, when the messengers were gone away from them to the heavens, that the men, the shepherds, said unto one another, ‘We may go over indeed unto Bethlehem, and see this thing that hath come to pass, that the Lord did make known to us.’ 16And they came, having hasted, and found both Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in the manger, 17and having seen, they made known abroad concerning the saying spoken to them concerning the child. 18And all who heard, did wonder concerning the things spoken by the shepherds unto them; 19and Mary was preserving all these things, pondering in her heart; 20and the shepherds turned back, glorifying and praising God, for all those things they heard and saw, as it was spoken unto them

Though his time of year is often compromised of; greed, expensive presents, sales upon sales, Christmas trees, decorations, stress, smiling to another(s) face yet talking ill about them behind their back(s), the never ending treadmill known as “trying to keep up with the Jones, and anything other than our Lord & Savior I find comfort in the fact that this precious gift called life and our thrice Holy God and our Lord & Savior recognition/love/blessings/teachings should not be regulated to a few weeks in a year – the eve of Christmas- the day of Christmas but to each breath of every day of every week of every month of every year. And to praise his name in our hearts, in our Churches/Temples, when we gather, before our children/grandchildren, and to never waiver for fighting for what is right and our Christian/Jewish beliefs. And to those who say/believe that in doing so means we don’t care about others (i.e. individually, groups, those who label themselves with letters, etc.) is exactly the OPPOSITE of what our faith teaches. What our bible says. What Yesuah taught and lived by. What the Torah says. For Yesuah said in YLT John 13:34 `A new commandment I give to you, that ye love one another; according as I did love you, that ye also love one another” and in

Matthew 5:43-48 Young’s Literal Translation (YLT)

43 `Ye heard that it was said: Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and shalt hate thine enemy;

44 but I — I say to you, Love your enemies, bless those cursing you, do good to those hating you, and pray for those accusing you falsely, and persecuting you,

45 that ye may be sons of your Father in the heavens, because His sun He doth cause to rise on evil and good, and He doth send rain on righteous and unrighteous.

46 `For, if ye may love those loving you, what reward have ye? do not also the tax-gatherers the same?

47 and if ye may salute your brethren only, what do ye abundant? do not also the tax-gatherers so?

48 ye shall therefore be perfect, as your Father who [is] in the heavens is perfect.

I’ve created this post not only for those I care about such as my beloved Daughter Alyssa, but for my friends, loved ones, fellow Christians and Jewish people, but also for those I respect in admire and for those who chose to visit my site for my life and my faith is the essence of who I am. I wrote each of these words with a calling and a wish for each of you. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy Hannukah.

To my beloved daughter Alyssa I hope she knows that it was the (then true) love between your mother and I that gave you life. Being our daughter means you don’t have to choose sides for we love you…equally. May the presents I got you touch your heart and lighten your days and that you enjoy them for years to come. I love you so my beautiful, talented, wonderful blessing…Alyssa.

To all may this day be one of great blessings and happiness.

Take care and may God bless you and yours…always
